Alpha Learning&Programs’ team is managed by two highly-experienced professionals in the area of business education and study abroad programs – Jiří Matoušek and Jan Muška.
Jiří Matoušek has more than 9 years of experience in the area of educational tourism, designing and running study-abroad programs and trips, as well as managing a high-ranking MBA program. As a director of International Programs at the Czech Management Center, Graduate School of Business (2001-2006) he designed a number of programs for various business and non-business schools and groups from Canada, South Africa and the United States. In addition to his expertise in the field of customized study-abroad programs, Jiří also served as Program Director for the Prague based Weekend MBA program of DePaul University, Chicago (2006-2008) . He was responsible for recruitment and overall supervision of this top-ranked part-time MBA program.
Jiří graduated from University of Pardubice, Institute of Foreign Languages and Humanities, with a Bachelor’s degree in English language in 1999. He is married and has two little sons.
Jan Muška has more than 10 years of experience in higher education both in teaching, as well as in business development, marketing and recruitment for various institutions of higher learning. He spent the last six years managing the Executive MBA program offered in the Czech Republic by the Thunderbird School of Global Management. He served as the director of the program and recruited over 100 senior-level executives, as well as high-potential managers, from 23 countries primarily in Europe and the Middle East. Early on in his career he spent several years teaching upper-level courses on international relations, international security, conflict resolution and nationalism at Palacký University in Olomouc, Czech Republic.
Jan holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from Miami University of Ohio and a Bachelor’s degree in European Studies from Palacký University in the Czech Republic. He also participated in student exchange programs at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.and the Budapest University of Economic Sciences in Hungary. While at George Washington University, he worked in Senator Joseph Biden’s office as an intern.
